Horizon zero dawn thunderjaw8/14/2023 ![]() The Eclipse was able to corrupt at least two Thunderjaws, one of which was used to track Prince Itamen and Queen Nasadi after their defection from the Shadow Carja, and the second of which was used to raid The Embrace. ![]() Eventually, Redmaw was killed by Hawk Talanah Khane Padish and her Thrush Aloy. Known as Redmaw, this Thunderjaw had for years slaughtered every hunter who had attempted to kill it, earning it legendary status among Carja hunters. His achievement was eventually topped by the successful hunt of another Thunderjaw. The body of this Thunderjaw was later retrieved, and is now kept on display in the center of the Lodge. As the largest and most powerful machine ever successfully hunted in the Lodge’s history up to that time, the kill elevated him to the rank of Sunhawk. After the huge machine destroyed the Carja freehold of Morning Light, Ahsis tracked, found and engaged it, narrowly defeating it by using its own Disc Launchers against it. The Carja hunter Ahsis, a Hawk of the Hunters Lodge, is the first known hunter to have killed a Thunderjaw. Thunderjaws are one of the most extreme examples of HEPHAESTUS' escalating attempts to cull the human population, a phenomenon known to the tribes as the Derangement. Omega walked to the box and stayed next to Kïma.Unlike the Zero Dawn terraforming machines, which were designed and controlled by GAIA, the Thunderjaw was designed by the AI HEPHAESTUS, which had seized control of the Cauldron facilities and begun aggressive countermeasures to the human practice of machine hunting. There were also some androids in some glass closets, but according to the way they were leaning against it, they had been shut down. She noticed a wall covered of buttons and small levers, probably controlling the ice beds. An Old one ? She knew they found something big when she looked behind Kïma and saw all the other boxes in the huge room. There is a child sleeping in there."Īloy felt her heart skipping a beat. Kïma placed her hand on it and wiped the cold powder away. The top was made with glass, covered by a thin layer of ice. "Kinda looks like it is.", Kïma whispered, walking towards a sort of big rectangular metal box. "Are we in the cradle yet ?", Asked one of the guards. It opened in a second, breathing out an even colder air on the group. Indeed, a triangular door appeared after the corner. Man, what a shame, I really wanted this conversation to keep going.", Kïma declared ironically. "Oh, look, we almost reached the end of the tunnel. To be honest, she was a bit disappointed when she didn't notice any difference in Kïma's expression. "Oh, you mean me kicking you in the face ? It's basically the same thing.", She said quickly, preventing Kïma from answering. Way too flirty for someone who beat her a few hours ago. She didn't like the way she was talking to Kïma. If you know what I mean."Īloy froze and threw a look at Omega. "We both know that I had to do what I did, and we both know it could end. ![]() "We both know you won't do it once you'll be free.", Answered the woman with pink hair, winking at her. She kept on walking, looking around her in this freezing corridors that haven't seen the sun for centuries. I still have a strong urge to kick you in the face for what you did to me and what you threatened to do to Aloy and Bast.", Kïma grinned.īehind this ghost of smile, she was hiding a strong and cold promise : I will kill you. Your experience and knowledge in Ancient stuff could be damn helpful for us.", Omega admitted eventually. ![]() When Kïma answered her questions, she would half close her eyes, looking at her and then raise her eyebrows, before asking something else.Īnd let's not talk about Bast, who was staring at Kïma just like she was a goddess. Omega seemed to be impressed as well, even if she didn't show it too much. Though she was aware that the collector studied their culture for a long time, she never thought she knew that much about them. Aloy had to admit she was impressed by her knowledge. Omega decided that she was their expert on the Ancient domain, and no matter which question they asked, she had to answer it as good as possible. "Are you dumb ? For the machines, idiot.", Kïma answered bitterly. He was constantly looking around him, rubbing his hands and biting his upper lip. He was the only person who seemed unseated in this environment. "Why did the Old ones need such long tunnels ?", Asked one of the cultists. ![]()
